In a significant step, Hongqi dispatched its inaugural shipment of 600 EVs to Europe in November 2024, with plans to introduce 15 different models across 25 European nations by 2028.
Germany poses a unique challenge due to its strong allegiance to brands like Mercedes and BMW. However, Hongqi plans to win over consumers by offering cutting-edge technology features, including an AI cockpit system found in its Tiangong EV series, which boasts voice controls, personalized seating configurations, and curated playlists based on user mood.
Additionally, Hongqi is making strides in Mexico and the Middle East, where its luxurious Golden Sunflower line has made its debut in Kuwait. The brand is optimistic that its mix of innovative tech, elegant design, and appealing pricing will resonate well with international customers.

Notably, the opulent Golden Sunflower limousine, priced at 10 million yuan ($1.4 million), draws inspiration from ancient Chinese calligraphy, perfectly merging tradition with modern luxury.
