England Urged to Rethink Strategy to Revive Ashes
After a poor start to the Ashes, England must change their game plan quickly, says former Australia
Kapil Sharma’s latest comedy film, Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2, has opened to a disappointing response at the box office. On its first day, the film earned only ₹1.75 crore, with 16.45% occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions. This is in stark contrast to the 2015 original, which had a strong opening day collection of ₹10.15 crore and went on to perform well over the weekend.
The movie stars Kapil Sharma as Mohan Sharma, a man whose plans to marry his girlfriend quickly spiral into chaos. In the film, Mohan ends up juggling four wives as family pressures and religious conversions complicate his life. The situation worsens when the police start hunting him down following his confessions. The ensemble cast also includes Manjot Singh, Tridha Choudhary, Warina Hussain, Parul Gulati, and Jamie Lever, each bringing their own flair to the comedic chaos.
Critics have noted that while the film offers some entertaining moments and showcases a capable cast, the stretched runtime and predictable storyline prevent it from achieving a strong comedic impact. The movie remains an easy watch for family audiences but fails to capture the excitement generated by the first installment.
Despite the sluggish start at the box office, Kapil Sharma is set to make a comeback on television with the fourth season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on December 20. Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is expected to be the first guest for the season, adding further buzz to the show’s launch.
