The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted its approval to SpaceX for the launch of an additional 7,500 next-generation Starlink satellites, marking a significant enlargement of its satellite internet network. This decision effectively doubles the tally of Gen2 Starlink satellites approved for service, bringing the total fleet to 15,000 orbiting satellites.
