Ranveer Singh’s thrilling espionage film Dhurandhar demonstrates extraordinary box office endurance as it surpasses expectations over a month since its launch. According to the latest financial updates shared by the production team on Instagram, the film raked in ₹3.6 crore on Day 36, bringing its overall earnings in India to an astonishing ₹844.45 crore.

A newly revealed poster details the film’s revenue breakdown, indicating that it accrued ₹784.5 crore during the initial five weeks in cinemas. Notably, ₹56.35 crore came from the film’s fifth week alone, underscoring its firm grip on the box office. The filmmakers captioned the post, noting, “The March of Wrath continues to dominate the box office. Book your tickets. #Dhurandhar Ruling Cinemas Worldwide.”

Premiering on December 5, Dhurandhar is a captivating spy drama that loosely borrows elements from notable real-world geopolitical events, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

The film showcases an ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh as intelligence agent Hamza Ali Mazari. The robust supporting cast includes Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, Sanjay Dutt playing SP Chaudhary Aslam, R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali, and Rakesh Bedi in the role of Jameel Jamali.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently weighed in on Dhurandhar, praising its core themes and intentions. He noted that portraying a spy or soldier requires an authentic sense of anger and conflict towards the enemy. Nonetheless, Kashyap pointed out a couple of aspects he found less favorable, including a line from R. Madhavan's character and the film's concluding statement by Ranveer Singh, “Ye naya India hai.”
