In a thrilling contest, the Denver Nuggets secured a 125-115 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, putting an end to the latter's two-game winning streak. Key players Jamal Murray, Peyton Watson, and Nikola Jokic rose to the occasion, particularly in a tense fourth quarter.

Murray was the star scorer with 29 points, exhibiting superb long-range shooting that proved crucial in the final moments. Watson also shone brightly, netting 27 points and displaying strong offensive skills with smart cuts and timely three-point shooting. Meanwhile, Jokic showcased his all-around talent by achieving a triple-double with 17 points, 16 assists, and 10 rebounds, orchestrating Denver’s rhythm throughout the game.

A significant factor in the game was Denver's marksmanship. The Nuggets netted 22 three-pointers, marking their highest tally of the season. This shooting prowess kept them ahead even as the Grizzlies made spirited attempts to come back, with Murray sinking six threes and Watson contributing five, boosting Denver's confidence.

Despite facing adversity, Memphis fought valiantly in the second half. At one point, the Nuggets extended their lead to 108-91 early in the final quarter following a four-point play by Cam Johnson. Yet, Memphis responded fiercely with a 12-0 run, tightening their defense and finding openings on offense, narrowing the gap to just five points and sparking enthusiasm among the home crowd.

Remaining composed under pressure, Denver pushed back as Murray made critical three-pointers in the last four minutes. One of the game’s highlights came when Jokic executed a spectacular behind-the-back pass to Watson, culminating in an easy layup that raised the score to 121-112. This moment effectively sealed the victory and showcased Jokic's creative passing skills.

Jock Landale stood out for Memphis, notching a matching career-high of 26 points alongside 10 rebounds from the bench, energizing the Grizzlies throughout. Jaylen Wells also contributed with 22 points, while Cam Spencer added 18, keeping Memphis competitive even as Denver maintained control.

Memphis encountered a setback with Zach Edey’s exit due to a head injury after an accidental elbow from Jokic during the first quarter. Edey had been performing well, and his absence hindered Memphis’s defensive capabilities.

The return of Jaren Jackson Jr. provided some relief after his two-game ankle injury hiatus; he scored 16 points. However, it wasn’t enough to counter Denver’s balanced offensive attack.

Despite the absence of Aaron Gordon due to a right hamstring strain, Denver's teamwork and resilience shone through, reaffirming their status as a formidable team in the league.

Following this win, the Nuggets bolstered their record and built momentum, while the Grizzlies are looking ahead to their next challenge.
