Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit is facing public criticism after reportedly arriving nearly three hours late to a scheduled event during her ongoing Canada tour. The delay left attendees frustrated, with many taking to social media to vent their disappointment and question the event’s organisation.
A video from the event has circulated online, showing Dixit performing on stage accompanied by overlay text that advised viewers not to attend the tour and to "save your money." Comments across social media described the show as "chaotic," "poorly organised," and "a waste of time," with many claiming it didn't deliver what was advertised.
According to attendees, ticketing information stated the show would begin at 7:30 pm, but it reportedly did not start until around 10 pm. One disgruntled attendee stated, “This was the worst show ever. So unorganised. Advertisement didn’t say she was just going to chat and dance 2 seconds of each song… So many people walked out. People were yelling for refunds (sic).”
Another attendee expressed disappointment over the time mismanagement, writing, “Worst show one can ever go to. Least worried about the audience’s time. Three hours late and then full of lame talks (sic).”
Some attendees even urged one another to file complaints with Consumer Protection Ontario, alleging misrepresentation by the event organisers. Many fans opted to leave the venue before the show ended, claiming it was not worth the wait.
Despite the growing backlash, some supporters defended Madhuri Dixit, pointing out that the issues may have been rooted in organisational mismanagement rather than the actor’s fault. “She seems to be performing as graciously as always! It may be a production or management coordination issue,” one user commented.
As of now, neither Madhuri Dixit nor her management team has issued an official statement addressing the concerns raised by attendees.
