Sherrone Moore, the former head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, was dismissed on December 10 following reports of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Shortly after his firing, Moore was arrested for allegedly entering the home of the staffer, identified in reports as Paige Shiver, who serves as the executive assistant to the former coach.
Authorities say Moore entered the residence through an unlocked door without permission. A verbal confrontation reportedly took place, during which Moore allegedly picked up two butter knives and a pair of scissors, threatening self-harm. Police confirmed that he was unarmed.
Moore now faces charges including third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering. He appeared in court for arraignment and was released on $25,000 bail. Michigan University has confirmed that the staffer involved remains in her position and has not faced any disciplinary action.
Reports indicate that Moore and the staffer had a relationship for several years, which ended on the morning of his firing.
