Sharjah is embarking on a significant journey to improve access to justice and elevate its judicial services. His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, recently convened a meeting at Bait Elowal to strategize on boosting judicial efficiency and expanding legal services throughout the emirate.
In the meeting, the Council endorsed the creation of two additional Courts of Appeal in Kalba and Al Dhaid. These new courts will manage appeals in accordance with the Judicial Authority Law, alleviating the strain on central courts and streamlining case processing times. Local residents will benefit from easier access to comprehensive judicial services, ensuring just and timely outcomes.
To modernize the judicial framework, a new corporate identity for the Judicial Council, Department of Justice, and Public Prosecution has been revealed. This updated branding draws inspiration from the Islamic design elements of the Justice building's dome and merges clarity, professionalism, and cultural authenticity. A coordinated color palette, structured logos, and contemporary fonts unify the organizations while preserving their distinct identities, thereby enhancing the visual cohesiveness of all official communications.
Focusing on digital transformation, the Council has also approved new social media accounts and introduced the "Sharjah Judiciary" platform. This integrated website and app will enable users to track applications, submit requests, and access smart judicial services in a streamlined manner. This initiative reflects Sharjah's dedication to utilizing technology to enhance government service quality and offer a smooth, user-friendly experience.
Additionally, the Council explored ways to bolster media performance and oversee content on digital platforms, ensuring trustworthy, transparent, and cohesive communication with the public. By aligning media strategies with the emirate's values and legal standards, Sharjah seeks to elevate awareness, encourage transparency, and foster trust in the judicial system.
Through these efforts, Sharjah is setting the stage for a contemporary, accessible, and innovative judicial ecosystem that intertwines tradition with advanced technology to better serve its community.
