Russia Strikes Ukraine’s Power Grid, Thousands Left in Darkness

Ukraine is facing another major attack on its energy system as Russia launched over 450 drones and 30 missiles targeting key areas across the country. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy shared the news on his Telegram account, saying that the worst-hit regions were in the south of Ukraine, including the Odesa region. According to Ukraine’s national power grid operator, a large number of homes lost power, particularly in Odesa and Mykolaiv, two important southern regions. The Ukrainian-controlled areas of Kherson were reported to be completely without electricity.
