Oman Air has revealed its plans to commence direct services from Muscat to Singapore, starting on 2 July 2026. Operating four times weekly—on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—this new route will significantly streamline travel between the regions. This initiative bolsters Oman Air's presence in Southeast Asia and provides seamless connections via the oneworld alliance, enabling travelers to access various destinations such as Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, and more.
Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, noted that this new route expands options for business and leisure travelers alike. He emphasized that the service enhances Muscat's position as a vital hub connecting Asia-Pacific and Europe, while also ensuring premium travel experiences for passengers.
Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President of Changi Airport Group, expressed enthusiasm for the service, pointing out its potential to link Muscat with an extensive range of destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. He mentioned that it will open up fresh travel opportunities and strengthen connections between the two markets.
The flights from Muscat to Singapore are set to be operated using Boeing 737 Max aircraft, which boast Oman Air's acclaimed Business and Economy Class cabins, ensuring a pleasant journey for all visitors.
This service marks Oman Air's ongoing commitment to expanding its global network, boosting regional connectivity, and providing convenient travel solutions to accommodate increasing demand from passengers.
The route is anticipated to draw both tourists and business professionals, facilitating easier travel between the Middle East and Southeast Asia with expedited, direct flights.
