This year, over forty chefs are responsible for a three-course culinary experience catering to 1,300 attendees. Pi Le and Tommy Myllymaki, of a distinguished two-star Michelin restaurant on Djurgarden Island, are spearheading the first two courses. “We aim to infuse our culinary style and heritage into this meal,” explained Le. “Our goal is to take familiar flavors and add a unique twist.”
The meticulously planned menu was finalized by late September after several test runs. However, it will remain a well-guarded secret, only unveiled once guests are seated in the illustrious Blue Hall, where 59 tables await.
Hints from the chefs suggest dishes rich in Nordic forest flavors, featuring dried porcini mushrooms for the appetizer and desserts with wild raspberries and sloe berries. Guests will also savor 400 bottles of champagne accompanying the starters.

The tableware has undergone its first update in over three decades, with oak knives crafted in collaboration with Le’s brother. Hand-making 1,300 knives from Swedish wood required considerable effort, with Le sharing that his family stepped in to help meet the tight schedule.

Nobel pastry chef Frida Backe, making her second appearance at the banquet, has drawn inspiration from childhood summers spent in the woods with her grandparents. Incorporating sloe berries into the dessert required both patience and creativity, she noted.
