Indian-Origin Tycoon Involved in Tesla Accident, Ignites Winery Blaze

Vikram Beri, a millionaire of Indian descent, was apprehended in the U.S. after allegedly attempting to set fire to a renowned winery in California and fleeing the scene in his Tesla. The unsettling event took place at Garrod Farms Estate Winery & Stables in Saratoga, where the 42-year-old stirred alarm amongst staff and patrons.

The incident escalated when Beri was observed trying to ignite a fire inside the location. Upon being confronted by staff members, he reportedly hurled a wine bottle at them before making a dash for his vehicle. In his attempt to escape, he aggressively collided with two parked cars, further intensifying the situation.

As per an official announcement shared on X, during the pursuit, Beri drove his Tesla off an embankment and resisted surrender despite multiple attempts by law enforcement to calm him. Officials stated that the businessman disregarded all commands and remained within the vehicle. After numerous attempts at negotiation failed, police resorted to using pepperball rounds, which ultimately forced him to exit the car and yield.

Beri, who resides in Menlo Park, was quickly taken into custody and subsequently charged with multiple crimes, including assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. Following his apprehension, he was assessed medically at a hospital before being moved to county jail.

The entrepreneur has made a name for himself in the business sector, founding BetterLYF Wellness, a digital mental health support platform nearly ten years ago. Additionally, he holds the position of Executive Director of Business Development at Fieldking, a global farm equipment manufacturer. His prior career consists of consulting roles, and he boasts degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois, along with an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Indian School of Business.

The shocking event has left many astonished, especially those acquainted with Beri’s entrepreneurial background.
