A significant awareness campaign centering on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) was hosted by the Ministry of Health at the Khasab Sports and Cultural Club. This initiative, supported by Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Mandhari, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Planning and Health Regulation, aimed to disseminate trustworthy and accessible information regarding these two viruses, enabling the local community to safeguard their health and that of others. The Ministry remains committed to enhancing awareness nationwide, with this event as a part of their continued efforts.

The program included various activities designed to engage attendees of all ages. Healthcare professionals delivered specialized lectures covering the causes, symptoms, prevention strategies, and treatment options for HPV and HIV, aiming to dispel myths and provide scientifically-backed insights, fostering confidence in addressing these health concerns. Interactive sessions encouraged active participation from both students and community members, allowing them to ask questions.

At the venue, a health exhibition provided attendees with the opportunity to learn through visual exhibits, pamphlets, and discussions with healthcare providers. It emphasized the importance of regular screenings, early detection, safe practices, and vaccinations in mitigating health risks. Moreover, it showcased community initiatives developed by the Directorate General of Health Services, aimed at enhancing public health, promoting disease awareness, advocating preventive care, and fortifying community educational efforts.

The event significantly fostered community involvement by integrating schools and young students into an awareness competition that emphasized creative engagement and highlighted the importance of healthy living. At the event's conclusion, winners were honored for their contributions, and the lecturers along with the organizing committee received recognition for their roles in ensuring the event's success and impact.

The Ministry underscored the critical role of awareness initiatives in minimizing risks and shielding the community. Programs like this empower individuals with essential knowledge for healthier decisions, promoting a safer community environment.
