Abu Dhabi – ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA) acknowledged a remarkable achievement by graduating 403 Emirati technicians, now proficient in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, underscoring a significant advancement in cultivating a highly adept local workforce for the energy industry.
The two-year vocational program saw graduates focusing on key areas such as electrical maintenance, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, and process operations. The curriculum integrated practical training alongside innovative technologies, effectively grooming students for specialized positions within ADNOC’s diverse operations.
ATA's current training methodologies now encompass sophisticated AI-driven systems like Neuron 5, which has successfully halved unplanned shutdown incidents. Participants also engaged with advanced tools such as drones, robotics, and remotely operated vehicles for site assessments, infrastructure evaluations, and gas leak inspections, merging technical know-how with actual energy field operations.
Since opening its doors in 1978, ATA has produced over 6,000 UAE Nationals, playing a crucial role in fortifying the nation’s industrial and energy workforce. New partnerships with leading robotics firms are anticipated to further refine training programs, ensuring that graduates stay at the cutting edge of automation and AI innovations within the energy sector.
This fresh cohort of graduates reinforces ADNOC's goal of evolving into the most AI-focused energy enterprise, placing UAE talent at the forefront of an increasingly dynamic and technology-centric energy landscape.
