In a significant move to enhance homeownership, Thailand's Government Housing Bank (GHB) is hosting a substantial mid-year auction showcasing over 12,000 pre-owned homes nationwide. This initiative aims to provide Thai citizens access to quality housing at reduced prices, while also invigorating the local real estate market.
Taking place on June 6, 2026, the auction will feature various residential and commercial properties, including detached houses, townhouses, condominiums, commercial properties, and land plots. GHB officials indicate that discounts of up to 50% from standard prices will be available, marking this event as one of the most significant affordable housing opportunities of the year.
A key highlight is the bank's exclusive financing offer. Successful bidders who enter into purchase agreements from June 8 to June 19, 2026, can qualify for a promotional home loan with an introductory interest rate of 0% for the first two years, alleviating financial burdens on first-time homeowners and those from middle-income backgrounds.
Bangkok and its neighboring provinces will have over 1,000 available properties, including a notable condominium unit located in the Life Ratchadaphisek project in Bangkok’s Huai Khwang area, starting at a bid price of 3.06 million baht. This prime property boasts excellent transport and public facility accessibility.
Across regional provinces, more than 11,000 additional listings will be auctioned. Featured is a semi-detached house in Chonburi's Panacea Village starting at 2.34 million baht, along with a detached house in Nakhon Sawan’s LTF Iceland 5 project with a starting bid of 2.285 million baht. Both are positioned near vital amenities in developed neighborhoods.
GHB clarifies that all successful bidders must submit a security deposit prior to finalizing transactions. Standard properties require a deposit of 10,000 baht, while properties exceeding 10 million baht necessitate a 100,000 baht deposit. Additionally, the first 60 top bidders who finalize agreements in the given timeframe will receive free electrical appliances as special incentives.
The auction will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with participant registration starting at 8:00 AM. Auctions for properties in Bangkok and nearby areas will occur at the GHB Head Office, whereas regional properties will be auctioned at provincial branches. Buyers can find more information through the GHB Call Center, the GHB ALL HOME app, the official Facebook page, and the bank’s online property platforms.
