Beginning on June 16, 2026, Etihad Airways will introduce its A380 aircraft on the route between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita Airport, perfectly timed for the busy summer travel period.
The A380 is celebrated for its lavish amenities, including the unique three-room suite in the sky, providing travelers with a distinguished journey to Japan.
Arik De, the Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer of Etihad, noted the airline's commitment to meeting heightened customer demand for additional capacity to Japan. He indicated that the A380 is well-suited for this route due to the significant business connections between the UAE and Japan, which are characterized by a strong economic rapport.
This increased capacity will also offer Japanese visitors more travel options to Abu Dhabi, either for a stopover or as a distinct travel destination.
Tokyo has now been added to Etihad’s expanding A380 destinations, which include London, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore. Flights are currently available for booking, presenting travelers with an opportunity to enjoy the airline’s exclusive luxury offerings.
