Dubai has inaugurated the third iteration of the DXB500 Communication Training Programme, designed to equip government and semi-government media officials with contemporary skills for effectively communicating the city's vision. Spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this initiative unites 500 public sector professionals for immersive training enriched with international media and communication best practices.

The program combines educational lectures with hands-on workshops, emphasizing narrative-building, digital campaign strategies, and innovative content production. Participants were exposed to methods for delivering clear and engaging messages, while also addressing the issues of misinformation and fake news.

Notably, a session titled “Media Campaigns and Their Role in Enhancing Economic Security” was conducted by His Excellency Faisal bin Sulaitin, CEO of the Dubai Economic Security Centre. He highlighted the vital role of professional media in economic safeguarding, instilling investor confidence, and counteracting negative campaigns aimed at cities like Dubai. The discussion also pointed out the expanding influence of technology and AI on misinformation and the vital need for public awareness campaigns to protect economic interests.

Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, stated that the DXB500 program embodies Dubai's dedication to establishing a robust government communication framework. It empowers national media professionals to create cohesive and engaging narratives that resonate with both local and global audiences.

Participants were also introduced to innovative campaigns such as the #ZayedAndRashid initiative by Brand Dubai, aimed at fostering national values through captivating storytelling, and the “Emirati Virtual Family” project by Dubai Digital, which utilized technology to link the public with government services. Insights from global campaigns, like the recent New York mayoral election, highlighted the significance of understanding the audience, concise messaging, and digital engagement.

Workshops focused on creative communication, storytelling, and short-form content for platforms like TikTok, equipping participants to develop campaigns that resonate with an increasingly digital audience. The program signifies a strategic transition in government messaging—from traditional methods to data-savvy, AI-optimized campaigns that prioritize clarity, speed, and impact.

Through the DXB500 initiative, Dubai aims to nurture a new generation of media experts capable of narrating the city's story with accuracy, creativity, and a global outlook, thus fortifying both local trust and international reputation.
