In an impressive move, Dubai has heralded the launch of the DIFC Zabeel District, marking a significant expansion of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This initiative was revealed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, as well as the Ruler of Dubai.

The primary goal of this new district is to bolster DIFC’s stature as the premier financial hub across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, while simultaneously enhancing Dubai's status as a prime business and lifestyle destination.

Covering over seven million square feet, the development will provide 17.7 million square feet of construction space, with the overall investment expected to exceed AED 100 billion, representing the largest demand-driven expansion of a financial center in the region.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that Dubai thrives on its aspirational vision and dedication to global advancement. He pointed out that the Zabeel District will be capable of facilitating more than 42,000 firms, accommodating over 125,000 professionals, and dedicating over one million square feet for innovations in technology and artificial intelligence.

Additionally, the Zabeel District will be linked to the current Gate District through a distinctive bridge, creating a fluid extension of the DIFC’s urban setting.

The grand project will unfold in six phases, with the initial public opening anticipated for 2030 and full completion aimed for 2040.

State-of-the-Art Infrastructure and Lifestyle Offerings

The DIFC Zabeel District will showcase a dedicated art pavilion, further establishing DIFC as a cultural and artistic epicenter. The district will feature commercial offices, residential facilities, a main boulevard, a convention center, hotels, luxury shopping outlets, and advanced technological infrastructure.

Moreover, the development promises green open spaces and biodiversity-focused designs to promote healthier living and working conditions. Its layout is designed to prioritize connectivity, cohesive living, and straightforward access throughout the community.
