Dubai has rolled out a new Smart Security Breach Reporting System aimed at bolstering protection across its vibrant aviation network. The initiative, announced by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, is designed to give authorities faster, clearer insight into potential security incidents.
Built on integrated digital platforms and modern smart technologies, the system supports live monitoring, quicker incident handling and smoother coordination among agencies. Officials say these capabilities will improve operational resilience and readiness at one of the world’s busiest air gateways.
The project is a joint effort between the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Dubai Police and Dubai Customs, and it incorporates predictive analytics to identify emerging risks before they escalate. Authorities describe the tool as an important step in keeping Dubai at the forefront of safe, efficient air travel.
The launch coincides with a strong first half of 2025 at Dubai International Airport (DXB), which recorded a 2.3 percent rise in passenger numbers, serving 46 million travellers and handling more than 1 million tonnes of cargo. Meanwhile, Al Maktoum International Airport is advancing a AED128 billion expansion to reach a capacity of up to 150 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of cargo annually once complete.
Officials say the new Smart Security Breach Reporting System reinforces Dubai’s commitment to secure, high-tech aviation management and could serve as a model for airports worldwide as the UAE prepares for continued growth in passenger and cargo volumes over the next decade.
