Air Arabia has commenced daily non-stop flights from Sharjah to Munich, marking its inaugural direct link to Germany from the UAE. The service is operated using the modern Airbus A320neo, known for providing a more pleasant passenger experience. The inaugural flight was celebrated with a special event at Munich Airport, attended by top officials from both Air Arabia and the airport.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, emphasized that this new route enhances the airline's European reach, granting travelers increased options. He noted that this direct connection between Sharjah and Munich represents a strategic advancement for Air Arabia, aimed at elevating passenger convenience. Oliver Dersch, Senior Vice President of Aviation at Munich Airport, remarked that the new route strengthens connectivity for travelers journeying between the GCC and Germany.
The Sharjah-Munich route is an addition to Air Arabia's expanding European portfolio, which already features prominent destinations like Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, and Warsaw Chopin. There are also plans to include Warsaw Modlin and Prague soon.
Travelers on this new route can take advantage of the A320neo's contemporary features, designed to enhance comfort while minimizing environmental impact.
These flights cater to both business and leisure travelers, simplifying connections for residents of the UAE and Europe by eliminating lengthy layovers.
