2025 Globe Soccer Awards Finalists Revealed Following 30 Million Votes

The finalists for the 16th edition of the GLOBE SOCCER Awards have been revealed, thanks to over 30 million votes cast by football enthusiasts worldwide. This remarkable engagement highlights the excitement surrounding the awards and the key players in this year's football scene.

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, 28 December 2025, at the lavish Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai, with invitations extended to an elite selection of attendees from the football world. It promises to be a star-studded evening featuring renowned players, club executives, game legends, and emerging talents shaping the future of football.

Fans contributed their opinions through two voting phases across nine critical categories. These include Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Emerging Player, and Best Middle East Player. Additional accolades, such as Best Agent, Best Sporting Director, the Maradona Award, and various lifetime honors, will also be awarded during the ceremony.

Paris Saint-Germain, winners of the UEFA Champions League, is prominently featured in the finalist lists. They are vying for the Best Men’s Club title against formidable contenders including Barcelona, Chelsea, Flamengo, and Liverpool. Coach Luis Enrique is nominated for Best Coach, competing against Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Hansi Flick (Barcelona), and Enzo Maresca (Chelsea). PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha are contenders for Best Men’s Player, facing off against Kylian Mbappé from Real Madrid, Raphinha from Barcelona, and the young star Lamine Yamal.

In the women’s categories, Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona Femení is on the quest for her third consecutive Best Women’s Player award, contending with rivals Mariona Caldentey, Melchie Dumornay, Alexia Putellas, and Alessia Russo. For Best Women’s Club, the nominees include Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea FC, and Juventus, showcasing the competitive landscape of women’s football.

Cristiano Ronaldo, forward for Al Nassr and Portugal, has confirmed his attendance at the gala, and he is also a finalist for Best Middle East Player, with competitors Salem Al-Dawsari, Karim Benzema, and Riyad Mahrez highlighting the increasing prominence of regional football.

Additionally, LaLiga will utilize the Dubai ceremony to acknowledge its 2024–2025 season awards, which will recognize Raphinha as Best Player, Hansi Flick as Best Coach, Lamine Yamal as Best Emerging Player, Luka Sučić for Best Goal, and Jan Oblak for Best Save, further elevating the significance of this momentous night.
