Celebrated actress Yami Gautam Dhar is basking in the recognition brought by her recent film Haq, inspired by the notable Shah Bano case. The film has garnered immense appreciation from both audiences and critics alike. With accolades flowing in, Yami has now signed on for four additional films. Though details remain under wraps, she remarked, “It’s up to the producer to announce them.”

Her performance in Haq has led many fans to believe she is deserving of a National Award. When posed with the question, she smiled and replied that it’s difficult to provide an answer. “The lovely messages I receive from my fans are my true rewards,” she expressed.

While discussing her career, Yami also revealed her choice to avoid industry award shows and social events. “Networking is vital in this field, but if it doesn’t resonate with me, I prefer not to engage. My focus is on my craft, waiting for scripts that speak to me,” she clarified.

Yami emphasized that true success isn’t always tied to trends. “Awards can bring joy, but it’s also entirely viable to forge your own path and still thrive. More than ever, audiences appreciate genuine talent and integrity,” she stated.

On a personal note, Yami introduced her son Vedavid, who is presently a year and a half old. When asked which of her films she would one day share with him, she said, “I will decide that later. During my pregnancy while filming Article 370, my mother imparted a beautiful insight: if you work hard, your child will respect that. In a sense, he was part of that film as well.”

Released on November 7, Haq, which features Emraan Hashmi, continues to receive acclaim for its potent narrative and compelling performances.
