Victor Wembanyama delivered another dominant performance as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. The win helped San Antonio level the NBA playoff series at 2-2 and shifted momentum back in their favour after losing the previous game. Wembanyama finished with 33 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and two steals in one of his best playoff performances so far.
The Spurs started the game strongly and never allowed Oklahoma City to take control. San Antonio built an early lead with aggressive defence and fast ball movement, while Wembanyama dominated on both ends of the court. He opened the game with an early three-pointer and continued attacking the Thunder defence throughout the night. The Spurs also forced 20 turnovers and converted those mistakes into important points.
De'Aaron Fox supported the team with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, while Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle added 13 points each. San Antonio’s defence played a major role in the victory, holding Oklahoma City to only 33 percent shooting from the field and just 18 percent from three-point range. The Thunder’s 82 points marked one of their lowest scoring playoff games in recent years.
On the other side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 19 points for Oklahoma City but struggled to find rhythm against San Antonio’s defensive pressure. The Thunder were also affected by injuries and poor bench production during the game. Oklahoma City had entered Game 4 with momentum after winning Game 3, but the Spurs responded strongly in front of their home crowd in San Antonio.
Basketball fans and analysts praised Wembanyama’s all-around performance on social media after the match. Many NBA fans described him as the most impactful player in the series so far. Discussions on Reddit and sports forums highlighted his defensive presence, scoring ability, and leadership despite his young age.
The Western Conference Finals series is now tied 2-2, making the next game extremely important for both teams. Game 5 will take place in Oklahoma City, where the Thunder will try to regain control of the series while the Spurs aim to continue their strong momentum and move one step closer to the NBA Finals.
