In certain situations, individuals who've actively participated in forensic projects may qualify with three years of hands-on experience. Furthermore, all candidates are required to undergo training in legal standards and forensic expertise prior to their appointment.
The regulation makes it clear that educational qualifications must align with Vietnamese legal standards, regardless of whether they were obtained domestically or abroad. Experience should be directly relevant to the expertise area and counted from the employment start date to the application stage.
Authorities have established a transparent procedure for appointing forensic experts and issuing official certification cards. The Ministry of Science and Technology will oversee national appointments, while provincial offices will manage local selections.
The procedure includes reviewing applications, assessments by relevant departments, and final approval by the Minister within a set timeframe. Upon approval, lists of experts will be made publicly available on official channels to promote transparency and accountability.
