UAE and Pakistan Leaders Enhance Economic Ties

Abu Dhabi – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in talks with Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari in Abu Dhabi to elevate diplomatic and economic relations.

The discussions occurred at Qasr Al Bahr, where Sheikh Mohamed warmly welcomed President Zardari, commending his initiative to advance the partnership between the two nations, which has been growing steadily over time.

Both leaders assessed the progress of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), with an optimistic outlook on its potential to enhance trade and economic collaboration between the UAE and Pakistan.

The agenda also included a review of regional and global issues, with a shared commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as tools to promote peace and stability worldwide.

Sheikh Mohamed acknowledged Pakistan’s active role in the United Nations Security Council, indicating it as a pivotal opportunity for enhanced cooperation on global security matters.

President Zardari reaffirmed the robust ties shared between the UAE and Pakistan, expressing Pakistan's eagerness to broaden economic collaborations that yield mutual benefits.
