Rescue Efforts Intensify After Building Collapse in Angeles City

In Angeles City, a devastating incident unfolded when a nine-story building under construction collapsed in the early hours, resulting in at least 21 people reported missing amidst the rubble. This calamity followed a severe thunderstorm that swept through the region overnight.

Rescue teams are actively searching the debris, and responders have reported hearing voices originating from beneath the rubble, raising hopes for potential survivors. Thankfully, around 24 construction workers were either able to escape or were rescued and treated for injuries during the initial emergency response.

Emergency responders including police and firefighters rushed to the scene promptly, comprised of over 100 personnel utilizing their hands, machinery, and sniffer dogs to comb through the chaotic site of concrete and metal debris.
