UAE and Germany Address Regional Security Amid Iranian Threats

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted Omid Nouripour, Vice-President of the German Bundestag, to address significant regional and global concerns.

During their discussions, the two leaders examined recent developments, particularly the unprovoked Iranian missile strikes that have targeted the UAE and neighboring countries. They evaluated the implications of these aggressions on regional stability, international security, energy resources, maritime safety, and the broader global economy.

The German officials reiterated their strong support for the UAE, backing all actions taken by the nation to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people, citizens, and travelers.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for the visit, underscoring the robust relations between the UAE and Germany, as well as Germany's backing amidst ongoing challenges.

Additionally, they talked about the recent cessation of hostilities announced by US President Donald Trump and underscored the necessity of amplifying both regional and international initiatives aimed at establishing long-lasting peace and stability in the area.

The dialogue also delved into enhancing collaboration between the UAE and Germany across diverse sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the crucial function of parliamentary bodies in bolstering diplomatic resolutions to conflicts and encouraging dialogue for peace and sustainable growth.

The meeting was attended by Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State.
