The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) convened the Industrial Resilience and Supply Chain Continuity Forum in Abu Dhabi as a prelude to the fifth edition of Make it in the Emirates 2026 (MIITE).
Scheduled from May 4 to 7, 2026, at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, this significant industrial gathering is hosted by MoIAT, with organization by ADNEC Group, alongside collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and ADNOC.
Paving the Way for Industrial Growth
The forum assembled ministers, business leaders, experts, and CEOs to deliberate on enhancing supply chain strength and boosting industrial resilience. It underscored the UAE’s commitment to revitalizing its manufacturing sector and decreasing dependence on imports.
Chaired by Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the session emphasized that robust local production is fundamental to national stability. He remarked that nations relying heavily on imports face significant vulnerabilities amid global crises.
He stressed that achieving self-sufficiency demands real production capabilities, a skilled workforce, and the availability of high-quality local products. The UAE's goal is to fulfill fundamental needs in food, industry, and pharmaceuticals while welcoming global partnerships.
MIITE 2026 Promises Unprecedented Growth
Officials revealed that MIITE 2026 will be the largest event to date:
1,162 participating companies (a 61% increase)
88,000 sqm of exhibition space (up 30%)
60% of exhibitors are SMEs
According to Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, the UAE has successfully doubled its industrial exports and reached its 2031 objectives six years ahead of time.
More than 4,800 products have been identified for local manufacturing, opening avenues for investors and businesses. The event will also unveil new financing programs and industrial policies across 12 significant sectors.

The forum concentrated on critical industry obstacles, which included:

Challenges to export competitiveness
This forum builds on insights from the Virtual Industrial Council held earlier this year.

500+ local products
Engagement of 200 artisans
23 interactive sessions and activities
The pavilion will also highlight contemporary culinary creations influenced by Emirati culture, along with technology collaborations aimed at future advancements.

Industrial exports surged to AED 262 billion in 2025
High-tech exports reached AED 92 billion
Over AED 473 billion contributed to the economy via the ICV program
36 global trade agreements forged
