Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Al Gergawi launched two pivotal initiatives: the “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme” and the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative.” These initiatives debuted during the Uzbekistan Zero Bureaucracy Forum and Uzbekistan Artificial Intelligence Forum held in Tashkent, a joint effort between the UAE and Uzbekistan as part of their strategic alliance.
The forums gathered ministers, officials, and specialists from both nations to share effective strategies for improving governmental efficiency and integrating artificial intelligence into public sector operations. Insights from the UAE regarding bureaucracy reduction and enhanced governmental services were shared to provide a model for Uzbekistan’s Zero Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to streamline administrative processes, cut down on excessive paperwork, and boost the efficiency and responsiveness of governmental services.
The Zero Bureaucracy Forum stressed that minimizing administrative barriers can enhance citizen experiences, stimulate innovation in government institutions, and foster economic and social progress. By embracing contemporary practices, Uzbekistan is looking to improve governmental performance and advance its national development goals.
The Artificial Intelligence Forum also marked the inception of the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative.” This program strives to equip five million individuals with AI prompt engineering skills within three years. Its focus is on creating a skilled workforce while encouraging innovation and expediting economic progress through tech and AI solutions. Experts from both nations discussed implementations of AI in education, public sectors, and other crucial areas. Interactive sessions further delved into AI’s potential in personalized learning, skills training, and groundbreaking government service solutions.
The collaboration between the UAE and Uzbekistan in government modernization first commenced in 2019 and has progressively evolved. The agreement was renewed in 2021 for an additional six years, fostering cooperation across myriad sectors such as digital transformation, leadership development, industrial enhancement, social progress, health, statistics, and urban planning. This partnership aligns with Uzbekistan’s Vision 2040, facilitating the adoption of international best practices in governance, technological advancements, and educational initiatives.
Both forums underscored the necessity of embracing innovative strategies and utilizing global expertise. The UAE shared its journey in boosting citizen satisfaction, optimizing governmental processes, and leveraging technology to modernize services. The collaborative efforts aim to enhance the capabilities of governmental personnel, encourage digital innovations, and position Uzbekistan as a regional frontrunner in effective administration and AI integration.
The advent of these initiatives symbolizes the robust partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan in transforming governmental operations, ensuring sustainable growth, and equipping the nation for forthcoming challenges. The Zero Bureaucracy Programme and AI training initiative are anticipated to yield enduring enhancements in public service delivery, citizen satisfaction, and economic advancement, marking a crucial milestone in Uzbekistan’s digital and administrative evolution.
