A standout moment at the event was the speech delivered by Cordula Wollmut, Regional Director for Europe at the United Nations World Tourism Organization. She asserted that Central Asia is swiftly emerging as a vital tourism destination globally.

Wollmut pointed out that the area's stability, safety, and rich cultural legacy are pivotal in increasing its appeal to international travelers and investors.

She also underscored that Turkmenistan is crucial for establishing a strong tourism identity for Central Asia, potentially elevating the region's status on the world stage.

The UNWTO reiterated its promise to enhance cooperation with Turkmenistan by promoting the integration of advanced technologies into tourism services, fostering sustainable infrastructure, and enticing foreign investments.

Wollmut affirmed that with continued organized and innovative development, Turkmenistan possesses all the requisite qualities to thrive in the global tourism landscape.

Unlocking this potential could lead to new economic growth, create jobs, and support a more sustainable and inclusive global tourism framework.

This conference is anticipated to lay the groundwork for future collaborations, partnerships, and strategic measures aimed at accelerating tourism enhancement in Turkmenistan and the broader Central Asian region.
