On November 19, Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse transformed into a pulsating arena as Travis Scott captivated the audience during his CIRCUS MAXIMUS World Tour. This was not just a concert; it was an exhilarating sonic explosion that resonated throughout the city.
From the moment he took the stage, an electrifying energy surged through the crowd. Tens of thousands sang along, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a frenzied celebration, with phones raised high and feet dancing to every bass drop.
The night kicked off with Canadian artist NAV, whose lively set laid the groundwork for the excitement. Enthralling tracks like Lemonade ignited the crowd, but it was Travis who truly cranked up the intensity, delivering a performance that was both louder and more immersive.
Fans were treated to hits such as Sicko Mode, Goosebumps, Highest in the Room, Butterfly Effect, Antidote, and the highly-requested FE!N, which was played multiple times amidst wild audience chants. Although the set narrowly exceeded an hour, every song saw enthusiastic sing-alongs, transforming the venue into a unified wave of sound.
During the show, Travis urged Mumbai to “rep for the whole of India,” illuminating the arena with hordes of mobile lights. A standout, spontaneous moment occurred when he invited fans to join him on stage during Smoke Some, Drink Some, Pop One and Night Crawler, showcasing a mix of humor and warmth. One fan even displayed a “Stormi for President 2040” sign, while another donned a traditional sherwani, nodding to Travis’ entertaining references throughout the tour.
Originally not included in the tour, this Mumbai stop was added due to overwhelming fan demand. The enthusiasm displayed during the concert validated that decision, with many asserting this event as a potential new high point for live performances in India.
As the lights dimmed and the crowd dispersed, what lingered were hoarse voices, drenched shirts, and a palpable sense that a monumental night had unfolded in Mumbai.
