Cairo Welcomes GCC Delegates for Trade and Investment Forum

Cairo served as the backdrop for the Egypt–Gulf Trade and Investment Forum, which commenced on Monday, bringing together leaders and business delegations from the Gulf region. This two-day event is focused on strengthening economic collaborations and investment initiatives. High-ranking officials, ministers, and business leaders are present to explore opportunities in sectors such as energy, logistics, agriculture, tourism, and technology.

During the forum, Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly underscored the increasing impact of Gulf investments in the Egyptian economy. He emphasized that GCC nations are instrumental partners, with Egypt experiencing a growth spike to 4.4% in 2024/2025 compared to the previous year’s 2.4%, predominantly driven by advancements in industry, tourism, and energy.

The UAE’s delegation, spearheaded by Undersecretary Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Hawi, included representatives from renowned Emirati enterprises and economic bodies, illustrating a strong commitment to forging strategic alliances and identifying investment prospects in Egypt.

Throughout the forum, attendees are engaging in dialogues designed to elevate the private sector’s influence in fostering sustainable growth and regional economic integration. With targeted discussions on technology, logistics, and food security, the event aims to promote cooperative economic practices between Egypt and GCC countries.
