Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan marked his 60th birthday on Sunday with an unforgettable fan interaction that quickly turned chaotic. Instead of the usual greeting from the iconic Mannat balcony, the actor chose to meet fans near the gate after a special birthday event, but a surge of excitement among fans nearly overwhelmed his security team.

On the occasion, Shah Rukh Khan kept his look casual and stylish, opting for jeans, a black T-shirt, a white jacket, and finishing the ensemble with a beanie cap and dark sunglasses. Following a private fan meet in Mumbai, the star stepped out from behind a black barricade to personally greet the massive crowd gathered outside his residence.

Several videos circulated on social media capturing the moment. Shah Rukh was seen climbing atop the gate, waving, blowing kisses, and repeatedly thanking fans for their affection and birthday wishes. However, as the crowd surged forward in excitement, one fan managed to hold the actor’s hand briefly before security intervened to escort him safely back inside.

The large turnout of fans outside Shah Rukh’s home throughout the day prompted police to intervene and control the swelling crowd. Despite roadblocks and appeals for dispersal, some admirers cleverly took alternate routes, such as the nearby beach, to reach the vicinity of Mannat.

Earlier that day, Shah Rukh had announced on social media that he would not be able to meet fans at his home as Mannat is undergoing renovation. “I have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me,” he wrote. “My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues.” He added, “Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will.”

The superstar’s birthday celebrations continued privately in Alibaug, where he was joined by family and close friends, including filmmaker Karan Johar, choreographer Farah Khan, and actress Rani Mukerji. Photos and videos from the intimate gathering appeared on social media, showcasing a joyful and heartfelt celebration.

Adding to the excitement of the day, Shah Rukh’s team released the first look of his upcoming film, King. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, and directed by Siddharth Anand, King is slated for release in 2026. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma.
