Rashmika Expresses Gratitude to Vijay as ‘The Girlfriend’ Premieres

Actor Rashmika Mandanna has warmly thanked her rumored fiancé, Vijay Deverakonda, for his significant public endorsement of her new project, The Girlfriend.

She took to her X account to share, “It is something powerful. It is something important. It is going to be hard to digest - So well put! Thank you. It's a SLOW BURN that LASTS LONG.”

Rashmika noted that Vijay had been involved with the film from its very beginning and hopes that he feels proud of her work.

Earlier, Vijay posted the trailer of The Girlfriend, lauding the film and recognizing the hard work of the cast and crew. He remarked:

The mutual affection displayed by Rashmika and Vijay comes as rumors suggest that the stars of Dear Comrade have recently become engaged. As per sources, the engagement was an intimate celebration with close family, taking place on October 3 at Vijay Deverakonda’s home in Hyderabad. Although no official announcement has been made, reports indicate that the couple may tie the knot in February 2026.

Professionally, The Girlfriend, featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty, premiered in theaters on November 7. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, this Telugu film delves into the intricacies of a romantic relationship. The plot follows a girlfriend requesting a "small break," only for Dheekshith’s character to display erratic and concerning behavior, weaving a tense emotional tale.

In addition, Rashmika is also preparing for another significant release, Cocktail 2, where she takes center stage as the lead.
