Ras Al Khaimah is poised to strengthen its global trade presence with the recent visit of a prominent delegation from China’s Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. This visit, led by Deputy Director General Wang Shuping, signifies a pivotal moment in fostering relationships between the Emirate and one of China's most industrially progressive provinces.
Youssef Ismail, First Vice President of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, along with Mohammed Al-Sabab and Eman Al-Hayyas, welcomed the delegation, which included key figures from the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair based in Guangdong.
Conversations during the meeting aimed at exploring collaborative ventures within medical, manufacturing, and IT sectors. Youssef Ismail emphasized the Chamber’s dedication to supporting investors and fostering sustainable industrial development, hosting events that render Ras Al Khaimah an attractive hub for international enterprises.
The role of the Saud Establishment in empowering youth-led SMEs was highlighted, showcasing the organization's extensive support offering—from mentorship and training to access to local and international markets. Plans for participation in the upcoming China Homelife Expo UAE were also discussed, further connecting Emirati businesses with Chinese trade networks.
The Chinese delegation commended Ras Al Khaimah’s industrial potential and showed keen interest in organizing substantial trade exhibitions in the Emirate, drawing attention to Guangdong Province's advanced manufacturing capabilities and economic opportunities. They noted the vital role of small enterprises in job creation, innovation, and youth empowerment, all aligned with Ras Al Khaimah and UAE’s goals.
As a continuation of their partnership, the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber and the Saud bin Saqr Establishment received invitations to the 23rd China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) set for September 2026. This event will feature over 1,500 Chinese companies, offering a strategic platform for enhancing bilateral trade and sharing expertise, while opening up new markets for Emirati businesses.
