UAE Faces Rainfall and High Humidity Advisory

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Dubai: A refreshing, cool Friday morning greeted residents of the UAE, with substantial rainfalls recorded in Sharjah and Fujairah, as stated by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Further rain is anticipated today as convective clouds build up over northern and eastern areas of the country.

Gentle to moderate winds are expected, while early morning mist or fog could develop, particularly in coastal and low-lying inland regions.

The NCM has also noted a significant increase in humidity, which could soar to 90 percent. This rise in moisture levels may result in dense fog or mist across various locations, including Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, especially during late night and early morning hours.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution, as reduced visibility is expected in fog-prone areas.

The UAE's temperatures remain mild in this winter season, with minimums around the mid-15°C mark, while daytime highs could hit 26°C. Currently, Dubai is at about 19°C, under partly cloudy skies.

Wind speeds may reach up to 35 km/h, though sea conditions are projected to remain calm, ensuring stable coastal weather.

Residents should keep abreast of official weather updates and exercise caution while traveling.
