The Globe Soccer Awards organizing committee has unveiled that public voting for the 16th edition is officially underway. The grand ceremony will take place at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai on December 28. Fans across the globe can now cast their votes for their favorite players, clubs, and coaches in multiple categories.
This year, there are approximately 15 categories, with nine open for public voting until November 27 to form the final shortlists. A second voting phase will be held from December 3 to December 11, aimed at determining the winners. Final results will stem from a mix of public votes and insights from a jury featuring renowned football personalities like Marcelo Lippi, Francesco Totti, Iker Casillas, and Luis Figo.
Voting categories available to the public include Best Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Best Emerging Player, and Best Middle East Player. Supporters can help shape the outcome of these prestigious awards.
Paris Saint-Germain stands out as the club with the most nominations. Following an exceptional season, encapsulating victories in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Ligue 1, and the French Cup, eight Champions League-winning players from PSG appear on the Best Player list. Multiple PSG athletes are also listed in the Best Midfielder, Best Forward, and Best Emerging Player categories.
Notable names on the Best Player roster include 25 leading international talents such as last year’s recipient Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, and Mohamed Salah. In the women’s division, Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona is vying for the Best Women’s Player accolade for a third consecutive year, alongside her Barcelona teammates and five members of England’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025-winning team.
Arsenal, the European champions in women’s football, feature among the seven clubs in contention for the Best Women’s Club title. The competition in the Best Men’s Club category includes Paris Saint-Germain, Al Ahli Saudi, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Napoli, Flamengo, and Pyramids.
Prominent football coaches nominated this year feature figures such as Luis Enrique (Paris Saint-Germain), Enzo Maresca (Chelsea), Arne Slot (Liverpool), Antonio Conte (Napoli), Vincent Kompany (Bayern Munich), Hansi Flick (Barcelona), Roberto Martinez (Portugal), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), and Eddie Howe (Newcastle United).
In the running for the Best Middle East Player award are Cristiano Ronaldo, Salem Al Dawsari, Karim Benzema, Roberto Firmino, N’Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, and Ivan Toney. In conjunction with the Globe Soccer Awards, LaLiga will also present winners of its 2024–2025 season awards. Notable honorees include Raphinha for Best Player, Hansi Flick for Best Coach, Lamine Yamal for Best Emerging Player, Luka Sučić for Best Goal, and Jan Oblak for Best Save.
