JioHotstar is all set to launch a new reality series, ‘Pitch To Get Rich’, combining fashion and entrepreneurship, offering a funding pool of Rs. 40 crore to support emerging designers. The show, produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and hosted by Karan Johar, will stream globally, starting this month.
Over eight episodes, 14 fashion founders from across India will compete, showcasing their creative collections and business strategies. The series aims to spotlight talent from smaller towns, giving young designers access to mentorship, celebrity guidance, and investment opportunities.
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and industrialist Navin Jindal will serve as the primary investors. Each episode will also feature celebrity appearances, including Saif Ali Khan, Malaika Arora, Ananya Panday, Shibani Akhtar, Manish Malhotra, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Manushi Chhillar, blending entertainment with real business advice.
Sanjay Nigam, Founder of the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund, said: “There is a huge gap. Youngsters are coming up with fresh designs, and they have the capability to become global brands. We are giving them fuel and showing their work to the world because the show will release globally.”
The show emphasizes inclusivity and aims to democratize fashion entrepreneurship in India, providing a platform for creative talent to thrive and gain international recognition. Its unique format, combining competition, mentorship, and celebrity engagement, positions it as a major highlight in both the entertainment and fashion industries.
‘Pitch To Get Rich’ is expected to premiere on JioHotstar in October 2025, offering viewers a mix of glamour, business strategy, and innovative fashion design.
