In a first, the Masters Historic Racing will feature during the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, showcasing a stunning array of classic 3-litre era cars at the season finale. This official support race offers fans a unique chance to witness these legendary vehicles once again on one of the globe’s iconic circuits.

The event will highlight vehicles from the celebrated 1966–1985 era, with the Masters Racing Legends grid paying homage to motorsport history. Enthusiasts can expect an impressive collection of ground-effect cars, DFV-powered vehicles, and many of the most iconic Formula 1 designs, transporting fans to a nostalgic age of racing innovation. This grid features notable names including former F1 champion Thierry Boutsen, Le Mans podium finisher Jann Mardenborough, renowned French commentator Julien Febreau, ELMS champion Oliver James Webb, and WEC champion Stuart Hall.

During the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, drivers will engage in free practice and qualifying sessions leading to two exhilarating races under the dazzling Yas Marina lights. Fans are invited to see these historical cars in action during practice on Friday, 5 December, followed by crucial qualifying and races on 6 and 7 December. As the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix takes the main stage, these historic events enrich the weekend, adding vibrant energy and a touch of motorsport legacy for every racing fan.
