Bollywood’s dancing diva Malaika Arora, famed for chart-toppers like Chaiyya Chaiyya, Munni Badnaam Hui, and Gur Naal Ishq Mitha, opened up about her son Arhaan Khan in a recent heartwarming chat. The 12-year-old, who shares her love for dance, often practices new moves and encourages his mother to join him, making their bond even stronger.
Speaking at the launch of her latest song Poison Baby in Mumbai, Malaika praised Arhaan’s talent. “He’s fabulous when he dances. Thank God he has my dancing genes. He dances very well,” she said. Arhaan, her son with former husband Arbaaz Khan, has always been a fan of Malaika’s iconic songs, with Munni Badnaam Hui being his all-time favorite.
Malaika shared playful anecdotes about their dance sessions. “He’ll say, ‘Come on, Mom, let’s do this together,’ and then he’ll make fun of me for the entire day. He’ll be like, ‘Please, you can’t dance like that,’” she laughed, revealing their lighthearted mother-son moments.
Talking about her new number, Malaika said that performing Poison Baby felt electrifying. “It’s been years since I led a full-blown dance number in a film. The choreography blends moves and expressions, and I wanted the performance to feel dangerous, beautiful, and untamed—all at the same time,” she explained.
In the song, Malaika shares the stage with Rashmika Mandanna, while the track, sung by Jasmine Sandlas, Sachin-Jigar, and Divya Kumar, promises a visually stunning experience. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma is the fifth installment in Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, following hits like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the villain, set to release this Diwali on October 21.
Malaika’s journey continues to inspire fans, not just through her electrifying performances but also as a proud mother witnessing her son blossom as a dancer. With Poison Baby, audiences are eager to see her stunning comeback and on-screen chemistry with Rashmika Mandanna.
