The philanthropic efforts in Dubai have received a substantial uplift as Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, has donated five residential units from the renowned Al Habtoor City project to the Real Estate Developers’ Endowment initiative. This initiative, in collaboration with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and managed by the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC), focuses on fostering enduring charitable actions throughout the UAE.
These donated units will be under the complete management of Al Habtoor Group, with proceeds earmarked annually for humanitarian and social programs. The funds raised will facilitate initiatives in health, education, and provide support for marginalized communities including orphans, widows, and individuals with disabilities.
Al Habtoor underscored the significance of endowments as a perpetual vehicle for social impact. “Our nation was established on a foundation of generosity. These endowments serve our community and illustrate our steadfast adherence to UAE principles,” he stated.
This initiative exemplifies the growing partnership between the private sector and the endowment sphere, motivating real estate business leaders to contribute to community betterment. It further strengthens the UAE’s objective of fostering a culture of giving and establishing sustainable support systems for those in need.
Utilizing real estate assets for philanthropy, the program ensures a reliable source of backing for significant projects, guaranteeing that donations continue to enrich the community for years ahead.
The Real Estate Developers’ Endowment sets a benchmark for how businesses can play a crucial role in promoting social progress, illustrating that effective philanthropy and corporate responsibility can align seamlessly.
