Kajol on parenting: Arguments help children develop their own voice

Post by : Mina Carter

Kajol recently spoke about the importance of arguments between parents and children during the trailer launch of the upcoming film Uttar. Sharing her thoughts, the actress said that disagreements help children develop their own perspectives and strengthen the parent-child bond.

“Thank god my daughter is not here to answer this. She would argue with me about it. It’s absolutely true—arguments are necessary,” Kajol remarked. She added, “If we fight, we realise we’ve raised kids who can think for themselves. When they argue with me, I see it as a compliment.”

Her mother, veteran actress Tanuja, joined in the conversation and reminisced that Kajol often argued with her during her childhood. The pair shared a light-hearted moment, with Kajol claiming she never argued with her mother, only for Tanuja to quip otherwise.

Kajol has been married to Ajay Devgn for 26 years, and the couple has two children, Nysa and Yug Devgn.

On the professional front, Kajol was last seen in the supernatural film Maa and the movie Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon. She will next appear in Maharagni: Queen of Queens and hosts the talk show Too Much with Twinkle Khanna.
