Sheikh Mohamed Reviews Innovations at the Dubai Airshow

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the 19th Dubai Airshow today, emphasizing its theme of “The Future is Here.” This international event at Dubai World Central, running until November 21, gathers top figures from the aviation, aerospace, and defence sectors.

As he toured the site, Sheikh Mohamed explored numerous indoor pavilions and outdoor displays, gaining insight into the latest advancements provided by both domestic and international exhibitors. The showcase featured a broad array of innovations, from civil aviation upgrades to next-gen military aircraft and integrated air-defense systems.

A highlight of the visit was the official launch of the Badr-250 (B-250), a versatile aircraft crafted entirely by Emirati engineers at Calidus Group. This aircraft demonstrates the UAE’s growing capacity in defence manufacturing, showcasing local ingenuity and specialized skills. Sheikh Mohamed took a closer look at the B-250 and interacted with the engineers responsible for its design and development.

At the Tawazun Council pavilion, he received insights on new initiatives aimed at fostering a robust and future-ready defence infrastructure in the Emirates. The council presented ongoing efforts geared toward enhancing local production capabilities and promoting sustainable industrial growth.

Sheikh Mohamed underscored the UAE's advancements in the defence and aerospace sectors, commending the contributions of Emirati professionals and the rising influence of local firms in the global arena. He also stressed the significance of the Dubai Airshow as a vital platform uniting innovators, manufacturers, and industry executives to discover new prospects.

Upon arrival at Dubai World Central, Sheikh Mohamed was greeted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, alongside His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The leaders exchanged pleasantries before commencing the tour.

On the sidelines, Sheikh Mohamed met with Wei Yingbiao, Board Member and President of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), where they shared thoughts on the Dubai Airshow's role in linking global industry leaders and presenting advanced technological systems.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, and various senior officials, marking an important occasion at this leading aerospace event.
