Gaurav Khanna has emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 19, taking home the coveted trophy along with a cash prize of ₹50 lakh. This win adds to his reality TV accolades, following his earlier success on Celebrity MasterChef India.

Throughout the show, Gaurav was often criticized for playing “safe” and staying on the “backfoot.” Some viewers claimed he merely “observed” the game instead of actively participating, while a few even suggested that he was a “fixed” winner, leveraging his strong fan base from television.

Addressing these allegations, Gaurav said, “These are just opinions. We shouldn’t cater to them. Not everyone has to like me, and that’s okay. I’m happy that most people do.”

Dismissing claims of being “fake,” he explained his simple, authentic approach: “If I were fake, I would have worn designer outfits, put on makeup, and created drama. Instead, I worked out in slippers, ate rice with my hands, and followed my usual routine.”

He also clarified that he did not spend money to get votes, adding, “I believe connecting genuinely with people touches hearts. If even one mother, brother, child, or elderly person liked me, that was enough for their support.”

While other contestants like Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik dominated headlines in recent months, Gaurav maintained a clean, controversy-free image, which ultimately helped him win the audience’s trust.

Farrhana Bhatt and Pranit More were declared first and second runners-up, respectively, concluding a season full of drama, strategy, and viewer engagement.a
