Gabrielle Henry, the Miss Jamaica 2024, is still hospitalized after sustaining serious injuries from a fall during the Miss Universe preliminary evening gown event in Thailand. This incident, which transpired on November 19, saw the 28-year-old contestant lose her footing in high heels and topple off the stage while wearing a dazzling orange gown. After the fall, she was rushed to Paolo Rangsit Hospital for scans and evaluations to gauge her injuries.

Initial reports indicated that while there were no life-threatening injuries or fractures, she required continuous medical supervision due to the fall's effects. Consequently, Henry was unable to participate in the Miss Universe Pageant the following day, November 20.

The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization later announced that Henry's mother, Maureen, along with her sister, Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels, had flown to Thailand to provide support. Dr. Henry-Samuels expressed concern for Gabrielle’s condition, stating, “Gabby isn’t doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly.” Medical professionals have advised that she remain in intensive care for at least another week to ensure she receives specialized treatment.

The organization has called on the public to keep Gabrielle in their thoughts, urging compassion and responsible online interactions. They have asked social media users to refrain from posting negative comments or unverified information, which could further distress her family. Their focus continues to be on her recovery and health.

Messages of encouragement have flooded in from fans, fellow contestants, and the broader pageant community. Officials, who have visited Henry, confirmed that she is receiving diligent and appropriate medical attention. She remains in ICU as doctors strive to stabilize her condition and anticipate providing more updates once there are signs of improvement.
