With nearly two decades of expertise, he took to social media to recommend five everyday foods crucial for maintaining a lean, strong, and healthy lifestyle. His advice emphasizes quality over quantity—focus on better food, rather than lesser food.
Raj strongly supports incorporating lentils, legumes, and beans into the daily diet. A single cup of cooked lentils delivers 10 to 15 grams of both protein and fiber, providing energy and essential minerals. They promote lasting fullness, decreasing the likelihood of unhealthy snacking.
Curd, or yoghurt, is another staple Raj suggests. He describes it as a balanced option that combines protein, fat, and carbohydrates effectively. One cup of full-fat curd packs around 150 calories and 8 grams of protein, acting as a natural probiotic to bolster digestion. For more protein, opt for Greek yoghurt.
Eggs are also pivotal, according to Raj. They are nutrient-dense, offering about 6 grams of protein, 5 grams of healthy fat, and vital nutrients like choline and selenium per egg. He recommends consuming one or two whole eggs daily to benefit from their support in development and metabolism.
Green and leafy vegetables are another vital inclusion on Raj's list. He advises incorporating at least a cup of these daily, as they are low-calorie, high-fiber, and surprisingly protein-rich.
