Legendary Bollywood star Dharmendra, now 89, is reportedly on the mend and responding positively to medical care, as shared by his family and representatives. This update follows a cascade of unfounded death rumors that created anxiety among fans and the film community.

On Tuesday, a statement from Sunny Deol, Dharmendra's son, assured everyone that the iconic actor is “recovering and responding to treatment.” This message called for prayers for Dharmendra's health and longevity, serving as the third communication from the family in a short time to quell confusion and dispel misinformation.

Previously, his daughter Esha Deol took to Instagram to affirm that her father is “stable and recovering,” while his second wife, actress and MP Hema Malini, condemned the inaccurate reports regarding Dharmendra’s health. Hema reinforced via her social media that he is “responding to treatment and recovering,” labeling the circulating rumors as “false news.”

The family has consistently requested privacy and urged people to refrain from disseminating unverified health updates about Dharmendra. On Monday evening, Sunny Deol implored fans and media to avoid engaging with rumors, stating that fresh updates will be communicated only when they become available. He also emphasized the need to respect the family’s privacy and to pray for the actor's swift recovery.

Dharmendra has been under care at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai since the end of October, with his hospitalization first reported on October 31. Renowned for his unforgettable performances in classics like Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, Satyakam, and Dharam Veer, he is set to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8 this year.

On Tuesday morning, both Sunny Deol and Hema Malini were spotted visiting Dharmendra at the hospital. The night before, several famous personalities, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda, visited the iconic actor to express their support and best wishes.

Fans can anticipate Dharmendra's appearance in the upcoming war drama Ikkis, slated for release on December 25. Despite this health scare, the actor’s remarkable legacy continues to motivate generations of film enthusiasts.
