Emirates Teams Up with Bahamasair to Enhance Caribbean Travel

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Emirates has made significant strides in enhancing access to the Caribbean by launching an official interline partnership with Bahamasair. This collaboration offers travelers within Emirates’ global network a more convenient way to explore The Bahamas.

With this partnership, passengers flying on Emirates to Miami or Orlando can now easily connect to Bahamasair for travel to two prime destinations in The Bahamas: Nassau/Paradise Island and Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. This initiative simplifies the travel experience through single-ticket bookings and a cohesive baggage policy between both airlines.

The agreement follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in June between Emirates and Bahamasair. Emirates operates daily services to Miami aboard retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft in four classes, while Orlando flights are offered five times a week on a three-class Boeing 777. Travelers from these Florida gateways can connect seamlessly to Bahamasair’s Boeing 737 flights, providing direct access to this beautiful Caribbean location.

Earlier this year, Emirates also entered into an MoU with The Bahamas' Ministry of Foreign Affairs to jointly enhance tourism efforts. This newest agreement signifies a vital step in strengthening travel connections and broadening the Caribbean's accessibility for Emirates' global clientele.

By linking Emirates’ extensive international routes with Bahamasair’s local services, travelers now enjoy smoother and more accessible options to one of the Caribbean's most sought-after destinations.
