Romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix from December 16, 2025. The film, which released in theaters on October 21 during the Diwali weekend, quickly grabbed audience attention and went on to become the 12th highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. Its OTT release is expected to bring the intense romantic drama to a broader audience, especially viewers who are drawn to stories exploring complex relationships and passionate, obsessive love.

Directed by Milap Zaveri and co-written with Mushtaq Shiekh, the film delves into the darker side of love, showing how desire and obsession can blur the lines between passion and control. The story explores possessiveness, emotional trauma, heartbreak, and the dangerous consequences of unchecked devotion. Far from depicting love as comforting or idealistic, the film presents it as a force that can turn destructive when fueled by ego and entitlement.

The plot follows Vikramaditya Bhonsle, played by Harshvardhan Rane, a powerful and influential politician whose fixation on popular actress Adaa Randhawa, portrayed by Sonam Bajwa, spirals out of control after she rejects his advances. What begins as aggressive courtship soon turns into a disturbing obsession, amplified by privilege, wounded pride, and a desperate need for control. As Vikramaditya’s obsession grows, Adaa is pushed to the edge, forcing her to take extreme measures to protect herself. Against the backdrop of political power and emotional manipulation, the film offers a raw portrayal of toxic love and dominance, showing how obsession can quickly become a weapon rather than a sign of affection.

Produced by Anshul Rajendra Garg and Dinesh Jain under the Desi Movies Factory banner, the film features cinematography by Nigam Bomzan and a soundtrack composed by John Stewart Eduri, with additional contributions from Ariyan Mehedi. Alongside the leads, the supporting cast includes Rajesh Khera, Sachin Khedekar, Shaad Randhawa, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, delivering compelling performances that heighten the tension and emotional stakes.

With its Netflix release just around the corner, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is expected to spark fresh discussions on toxic masculinity, celebrity harassment, and the dangerous romanticization of obsession, making it one of the most talked-about releases of the season.
