A strong contingent of 30 women entrepreneurs from the UAE, representing the Emirates Businesswomen Council (EBWC), made a remarkable impact at the 7th GCC Businesswomen Forum held in Qatar on 12–13 November. This event showcased the increasing influence of women in entrepreneurship and sustainable investments throughout the region.

Under the theme “Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Investment,” the forum united female leaders from across the Gulf to share insights, seek opportunities, and enhance cooperation for regional economic growth. Organized by the Federation of GCC Chambers, in collaboration with Qatar Chamber and backed by the Gulf Cooperation Council, this gathering promoted the advancement of women-led projects in developing industries.

The UAE delegation articulated a forward-thinking vision aimed at empowering Gulf women in the evolving economy, with an emphasis on the digital landscape, renewable energy, and tech-based entrepreneurship. This initiative aligns with the UAE’s reinforced mission of fostering female empowerment and enhancing international participation for Emirati women in various economic fields.

Ayesha Mohammed Almulla, Chairperson of EBWC, underscored the necessity for alliances in constructing a diversified and sustainable Gulf economy. “Fostering connections among businesswomen across the GCC and investing in innovative sectors is crucial for ensuring that women lead in molding the contemporary economy,” she highlighted.

The forum also included extensive dialogues about sustainable finance, entrepreneurial innovations, and knowledge exchange, unveiling new opportunities for collaborative investments and regional collaboration. Initiatives like these position Gulf women as key contributors to economic enhancement, affirming the UAE’s dedication to gender-inclusive progress across local, regional, and global platforms.
